Satellite Med Culture Statement

Satellite Med is founded on Christian principles. As a clinic Satellite Med feels it is important to fulfill the Christian role of being a servant. Satellite Med thinks it is important for each employee to take the role of a servant and be a servant to the staff and patients. We are all commanded to serve each other. We strive to always put the patient and staff needs in front of our own needs. We believe each person is given special talents by God to help serve each other more effectively. There is not one particular religious group that is represented at Satellite Med; yet we all have the understanding that we serve and worship the same God. We do not force any patient or employee to discuss or agree with any particular doctrine; yet we all have the understanding that we believe in the Bible as the Holy Scriptures and inspired Word of God. Our owners and physicians feel it is part of the calling of Satellite Med to pray with staff and patients if requested. It is not unusual for a physician to pray in the room with a patient. We play Christian music overhead in the sound system. We also have a “Huddle” every morning prior to seeing patients. Our huddle is time for the staff to mention prayer requests and praises to God. We have a prayer during this huddle. Participation in huddle time, patient prayer, or staff prayers is not required by any employee. If an employee chooses not to participate, this will in no way reflect negatively on employment status with Satellite Med. This statement is only to inform each potential employee, temporary employee, or new hire to the Satellite Med team of our intentions. We want to be open about these practices so you will not be offended if and when you become a part of the Satellite Med team. We appreciate your kind support as we continue to uphold our Christian principles.
